SEPTEMBER 2016, Industrial Kiln & Dryer Group celebrated the opening of its Southern Plains District in Texas City, Texas. The 7,100 square foot facility is IKD’s third district to open since 2013 joining the Eastern and Southeastern district respectively. These local districts have enabled a fast and knowledgeable response to customers from within the region.
The Southern Plains District will serve customers across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. Randall Young, President of Industrial Kiln & Dryer Group reminds customers of the value in building business relationships “You buy from people you know and trust. Customers from around the region joined a ribbon-cutting ceremony which officially opened the Southern Plains District. Guests received a free four-hour training class on basic rotary equipment maintenance and alignment along with food, games and music. IKD’s Southern Plains District Manager, Buck McVaney elaborated on his enthusiasm about this new district, mentioning that “the opening of the Southern Plains District will bring tremendous support, knowledge and convenience to a region of customers who rely heavily on their rotary equipment. Texas City has a positive business environment and talented people who share our values.”
IKD employs a large support crew in the Southern Plains District including two Customer Service Representatives, a District Manager, Quoting department, Technical Sales personnel, and a field crew of 10+. The district is fully equipped with a 53-foot and 40-foot on-site tool trailer/office, grinding and alignment equipment.
The Southern Plains District provides the intimacy of a small local business, but has the power and resources of a large international organization. It can support with minimum assistance from corporate office or other districts on a normal basis the following services:
Larger projects such as kiln shell replacement(s), large installation(s) or projects that require a large crew (15+) will be coordinated in conjunction with the corporate office.
