Roberto Perez stepped up in Industrial Kiln & Dryer Group’s (IKD) Southern Plains District to Technical Sales, effective July 2021. The Southern Plains District includes Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

Roberto had worked with IKD for the past 4 ½ years as a welder on the mechanical crew, learning the ins and outs of the rotary equipment world.  An Odessa, TX resident, Roberto graduated from high school in 2010, and attended Texas State Technical College and Southern Career Institute in Harlingen, TX, earning his welding certification – AWS and NCCER.

In his new position, he’ll be equipped to conduct plant visits and unit inspections and help customers with questions they may have about their rotary units.  With his mechanical crew experience, he can inspect a company’s units and begin planning future jobs with them, all to keep their equipment in tip-top shape.

Roberto is a father to two boys, ages 8 and 2, and in his spare time, loves being outdoors with them.  The three enjoy fishing, hanging out at the beach at South Padre Island, and grilling out; Roberto is also a fan of NBA and NFL games, UFC fights, working out and taking his dog, an American Bully, for walks.
