FIELD SERVICE - DRIVE TRAIN SYSTEMS

A drive train system is the moving parts and force behind your rotary unit; therefore, it is imperative to inspect and maintain its components due to its critical role in the mechanical operation of your rotary unit. A well maintained drive train system can increase reliability, prevent catastrophic failures, reduce downtime, and utilize downtime to your advantage. A drive train system relies heavily on multiple components and Industrial Kiln & Dryer Group understands the synergy of these components and can help you establish relational measurement boundaries.

Do you need a drive train system inspection? Ask yourself:
  • Are there noticeable wear patterns on your support rollers, gear(s), or tires?
  • Is there excessive vibration and noise from the drive system?
  • Are your bearings hot?
  • Is your foundation in poor condition?

If any of the above symptoms are occurring at your plant, a drive train system inspection can accurately diagnose the root-cause issue. A drive train system inspection from Industrial Kiln & Dryer Group examines the following:

  • Alignment: Pinion to Gear, Pinion to Gear Reducer, Reducer to Motor
  • Check pinion slope
  • Inspect auxiliary motor, clutches, etc.
  • Check slopes on all drive component bases
  • Measure gear teeth
  • Inspect wear pattern on gear(s) and pinion(s)
  • Take oil samples
  • Eddy Current and NDT (optional)
  • Generate a summary and findings report with recommendations

A drive train system inspection will ensure your unit is running efficiently, smoothly, and properly. The Industrial Kiln & Dryer team can help you eliminate the enemies of your drive system.
